Gathering of Devotees
Religious and Cultural activites are held round the year in the Math premises. The evening araati at the temple is attended by people in large numbers. Besides, tithi pujas are held according to the Vishuddha Siddhanta Panjika and schedule of Ramakrishna Math, Belur.
Devotee meetings and other cultural programmes like musical recitals are held in the auditorium at theground floor of the temple.
A ceremony in progress
Among the regular activities are Ram Nam Sankirtan held on every Ekadashi day, Shyam Nam Sankirtan on every Purnima day and Devi Nam Sankirtan on every Purnima day. Weekly discourses on the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna are held at the Math premises every Sunday morning. On every Jayanti day, a discourse is held after the evening aarati.
Durga Puja at the Math
Durga Puja is held every year with all its grandeur and the occasion is a notable event in the Math calendar. For this a permanent Durga Mandap has been constructed as a part of the temple. People from far and wide come to attend the Durga Puja irrespective of caste, creed and religion, which is observed with due solemnity. Prasad is distributed on all four days of the Puja.
